During the 40th Annual Wooden Boat Festival, KPTZ’s radio hosts Phil Andrus and Steve Evans conducted a live interview with Wendy Hinman, author of the award winning book, Tightwads on the Loose about her voyage around the Pacific. With signature humor, she makes light of the 31-foot sailor that carried her 34,000 miles, noting that while she may have lived without what most would consider “necessities,” what she found most essential was a sense of humor.
