TIPS AND TRICKS FOR CRUISING IN COMFORT at 10:45 Clubhouse
Being prepared emotionally as well as physically for the challenges and joys of cruising will help you make the best of your cruising experience. Wendy will share practical tips she’s learned over many years of cruising both locally and internationally on a variety of boats, as well as the philosophy that helped her navigate through the unexpected.

Wendy Hinman spent seven years at sea, sailing 34,000 miles aboard her 31-foot wooden cutter Velella with her husband. On such a small boat, they lived without many modern conveniences, but enjoyed a rich adventure on a sustainable budget. Wendy had also cruised the Hawaiian Islands, the Chesapeake Bay, San Diego, Greece, and the Virgin Islands and taught sailing before she left on this journey which took her to 19 countries. She has cruised extensively in the Pacific Northwest and is an avid racer who has raced a variety of boats in venues around the world. She has published articles in a wide range of publications and is the author of Tightwads on the Loose, a top-selling book about her adventures afloat. www.wendyhinman.com
